Scope of Position

Responsible for prospecting of wholesale and retail accounts for Kentwool Performance that align with our current or future product offerings, including pro shops, resellers, retailers (outdoor, endurance, golf, lifestyle, and other potential resale accounts), as well as corporate and house accounts to support existing market expansion. Develops sales programs and marketing collateral in conjunction with the marketing coordinator, that is appropriate to a specific channel, and its customers and supports the independent contract sales representatives to drive growth to meet defined targets. Manages external contract sales teams. Generates annual forecasts based on market knowledge and monitors monthly to determine if on track to meet budget and, if needed, implements action plans to course correct, current performance to ensure achievement of budgeted goals. Works with the Marketing Coordinator to produce necessary sales support materials. Identifies new leads, cultivates current accounts, and facilitates stewardship activities with the support of the Customer Experience Specialist. Assists in maximizing revenue generated and profit retained by KPA by servicing existing clients and securing new business opportunities in a financially responsible manner. This is a base + commission position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supports the following responsibilities but are not limited to, the execution of sales strategies, lead identification, distribution of sales materials, customer relationship management and communication (verbal and written), and forecasting.
  • Responsible for defined annual sales goals to include: accounts within directly managed territory and external contract sales representative territories.
  • Proactively prospects both existing and new accounts to expand market share and ensure annual revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
  • Creates and implements all contract sales contests required to ensure the external contract team achieves annualized revenue budget.
  • Attend trade events, marketing opportunities, and sales calls to promote Kentwool performance product offering and support all sales team members (either in-house or contract).
  • Manage all commercial pricing listed and any actions taken regarding, the pricing of the performance group.
  • Responsible for weekly reporting of KPI’s and monthly reporting utilization of ERP and Social Media Tracking Tools.
  • Coordinates with Customer Experience Specialist related to order entry and account stewardship.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator to define sales tools needed, marketing collateral, and proactive prospecting campaigns to achieve budget.
  • Assist in the management of online sales portal, as needed.
  • Active team member, sharing ideas, feedback, macro-market trends, competitive threats, and extensive knowledge to improve group performance, and the teams’ collective capabilities.
  • Maintains database: updating customer records as needed to ensure data integrity.
  • Support marketing efforts around new market expansion strategies.
  • Ensure proper record keeping and reconciliation related to orders.
  • Develops sales tools needed to ensure all sales team members are as effective as possible.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work ScheduleThis position will be based in Kentwool’s Greenville, SC office. Travel may be required to Kentwool’s Pickens, SC manufacturing facility and to other locations for customer visits and corporate events as needed. Our offices are open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Work outside of these hours required as needed during the holiday season and to accommodate travel and special events.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in a direct sales position required. Sales experience in the golf/sports, outdoor, or endurance market is preferred·

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
